I am a Virginia Tech Hokie in my 4th year as an Industrial Design student. Growing up in the forests of Maryland and attending a school in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains has shaped the person I am today as well as the designer I aspire to be everyday.
Completing a minor in Entrepreneurship has taught me invaluable lessons that I incorporate into my design philosophy. The key ingredient that makes a successful business also makes a product successful; they need to solve a problem. In this world defined by extravagant consumerism, I intend to design with this in mind, in the hope that we can one day end the cycle of creating products that quickly end up in a landfill.
